Cincinnati 2014 May Day March Radio Commercial

Stand up for justice and economic opportunity for everyone who lives and works in Cincinnati.

International Workers’ Day 2014
Thursday May 1st at 5:00pm
Gather in front of Cincinnati City Hall: 801 Plum Street

We’re marching to shine a light on income inequality; to protect equal rights and opportunities–including workers’ and voting rights–for everyone in our community; and to encourage our elected leaders to pass immigration reform.

The march will begin at Cincinnati City Hall at 5:00pm. Speakers will emphasize a variety of themes and issues followed by a march to the Hamilton County Building where we will hear from additional speakers. We will then march to the Board of Elections for final speakers and a closing ceremony.

City Hall speakers will address an increase to the federal minimum wage, low-wage worker organizing, affordable housing, wage theft, and immigrant justice.

Hamilton County Building speakers will emphasize Responsible Bidder, returning citizens, and apprenticeship programs.

The Ohio Voter Bill of Rights will be addressed at the Board of Elections.
