A 57-year old Ohio inmate will be executed twice for the same crime of the murder and rape of a 14 year old Tryna Middleton from 1984.
In an appalling form, the State of Ohio had suspended the execution of the inmate known as Romell Broom in 2009 when Ted Strickland ordered the stay of execution.
Now the State wants to execute the human being Broom while, the death row inmate broom already offered up a debt to the State of Ohio.
A re-attempted execution of this human being is murder. Yet still behind bars and should remain so for the crime of murder, Broom is not responsible for the mistakes of the State of Ohio. However, the State Department of Rehabilitation and Corrections would have the citizens of Ohio believe otherwise.
After being inept and inexperienced at finding a vein on Broom an hour after the execution, the recruited part-time prison doctor attempted to stick Broom for over an hour while he yelled out in torturous agonizing pain.
Broom’s defense attorneys Tim Sweeney and Adele Shank filed a brief to stop the re-execution attempt with the Supreme Court in May 2012.
This latest attempt will demand punishment twice for the same crime.
“Any effort to execute Broom a second time will necessarily repeat at least some part of the pain he has already endured, and that he can only be required to endure one time, thus punishing him twice for the same offense,” Sweeney and Shank told the Associated Press.
Welcome to John Kasich Justice in Ohio 2014.
Update: Broom’s age changed to reflect initial mistake.
