ALERT: Medicins Sans Frontieres Near Collapse In Wake Of West African Ebola Virus Outbreak

Ebola poised to spread world wide, Medicins Sans Frontieres maybe nearing collapse to contain the outbreak.

Poor knowledge of the disease and its spread blamed in the traveler scenario. Without local community helping to prevent the spread it’s impossible to contain.

The incubation period for the disease is 21 days, during which a person may be unknowingly communicable from the ebola virus. Thus, the traveler will put putting themselves,their families and those around at risk of the contagion.

“The epidemic is out of control,” Bart Janssens, the director of operations, said. “We have reached our limits. Despite the human resources and equipment deployed by [Doctors Without Borders] in the three affected countries, we are no longer able to send teams to the new outbreak sites.”
