In the lawsuit filed on Monday, 8-year veteran Sgt. Brandon Ruff in his late 20s and Philly officer of the 16th precinct got assaulted by members of the 35th precinct.
Ruff’s lawsuit notes that the assualt happened after Ruff tried to turn in unloaded firearms given to him by the community.
This also put Ruff in the precarious position of being investigated by Internal Affairs for being beaten by fellow officers. So the friends of other officers who beat Ruff will be investigating Ruff. You apparently cannot make up more ludicrous stories than the one’s inspired by true life.
In another startling conclusion by officers at the precinct, Ruff refused to identify how he had received the firearms and found himself ironically roughed up by officers after he had already identified himself after waiting for a supervisor.
Afterward, Ruff held for 6 hours and treated at Chestnut Hill Hospital for sustained injuries sustained suffering of sprained wrists and
shoulders.
